Vous la trouverez en bas de cette page. C\u2019est le cas aussi de celle de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gFY7RtPglQM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carlo Traversi dans \u201cMagic Line\u201d<\/a>. Mais elle va peut-\u00eatre passer \u00e0 la trappe, faute de temps et de choix de priorit\u00e9s. <\/p>\n<p><strong>L\u2019am\u00e9ricain Sean Bailey est actuellement l\u2019un des meilleurs grimpeurs au monde. Il n&rsquo;est pas parvenu \u00e0 se qualifier pour les JO de TOKYO 2021<\/strong> ( et oui, si on \u00e9crit TOKYO 2020, on se r\u00e9f\u00e8re \u00e0 la marque d\u00e9pos\u00e9e, et pas aux \u00e9preuves sportives&#8230;). <strong>Et pourtant, Sean va r\u00e9aliser une ann\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0post non-qualification\u00a0\u00bb exceptionnelle en encha\u00eenant \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.escalade.pro\/news\/video-alex-megos-bibliographie-9c\/\">Bibliographie<\/a>\u201d \u00e0 C\u00e9\u00fcse, en r\u00e9p\u00e9tant des blocs extr\u00eames tr\u00e8s rapidement, en gagnant une \u00e9preuve de Coupe du Monde de Bloc, et enfin en gagnant deux \u00e9preuves de Coupe du Monde de voie. <br \/>\nComment a-t-il pu se remettre si magnifiquement d\u2019une telle d\u00e9ception ? La vid\u00e9o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OneTmfEsANI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00ab\u00a0Proof of concept\u00a0\u00bb<\/a> nous montre ce processus.<\/strong> J&rsquo;en ressors trois points principaux.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h6><u>Le niveau de Sean est incroyable<\/u><\/h6>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.escalade.pro\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/croix-sean-bailey.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-21788 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.escalade.pro\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/croix-sean-bailey-300x156.jpg\" alt=\"croix sean bailey escalade climbing\" width=\"300\" height=\"156\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.escalade.pro\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/croix-sean-bailey-300x156.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.escalade.pro\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/croix-sean-bailey-600x313.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.escalade.pro\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/croix-sean-bailey-400x208.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.escalade.pro\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/croix-sean-bailey.jpg 645w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>C&rsquo;est peut \u00eatre \u00e9vident, mais pas commun et il faut le mettre en avant. <strong>Le niveau technique et physique de Sean est vraiment hallucinant. Quels doigts et quel rel\u00e2chement dans sa grimpe!<\/strong> D&rsquo;ailleurs la vid\u00e9o commence avec la tentative flash dans un 9a+. Et cela ne passe pas loin &#8230; Quand aux mouvements statiques qu&rsquo;il r\u00e9alise lors de l&rsquo;encha\u00eenement de \u00ab\u00a0biblio\u00a0\u00bb&#8230; chapeau.<br \/>\n<strong>Effectivement, quand on grimpe si bien en r\u00e9alisant des croix de haut niveau, cela aide \u00e0 relativiser les \u00e9checs. Mais cela n&rsquo;est pas si simple.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h6><u>Une polyvalence possible&#8230; et souhaitable<\/u><\/h6>\n<p><strong>Sean est un grimpeur polyvalent. Il fait de la voie en ext\u00e9rieur, il fait du bloc en ext\u00e9rieur, il est performant en comp\u00e9tition. Cela n&rsquo;est certainement pas nouveau pour lui de concilier ces diff\u00e9rentes pratiques. En tout cas, cela prouve une nouvelle fois que c&rsquo;est possible.<\/strong> D&rsquo;ailleurs d&rsquo;autres le font encore actuellement avec beaucoup de r\u00e9ussite (Schubert, Ondra, Garnbret, Ghisolfi, etc).<br \/>\nBen Hanna en parle dans cette <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cOnkQEO3TOM\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">vid\u00e9o<\/a> et le prouve par son r\u00e9sultat \u00e0 Meiringen en avril dernier: <strong>la grimpe sur le caillou n&rsquo;est pas compl\u00e8tement incompatible avec de bons r\u00e9sultats en comp\u00e9titions. Ne parlons pas que de finesse technique, mais \u00e9galement d&rsquo;une motivation saine et durable.<\/strong> J&rsquo;ose dire que la grimpe en ext\u00e9rieur est b\u00e9n\u00e9fique et souhaitable pour les comp\u00e9titeurs. Le plus possible, le plus t\u00f4t possible, et sous des formes vari\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<h6><u>Une motivation saine et durable<\/u><\/h6>\n<p>Au d\u00e9but de la vid\u00e9o, Sean explique qu&rsquo;apr\u00e8s sa non-s\u00e9lection pour les JO, il s&rsquo;est rappel\u00e9 les raisons pour lesquelles il aime la grimpe. <strong>Sean aime la grimpe, les grimpes. Il ne s&rsquo;entra\u00eene pas uniquement pour un classement. Il s&rsquo;entra\u00eene pour des objectifs vari\u00e9s dont certains sont tr\u00e8s probablement des comp\u00e9tences propres \u00e0 la pratique elle-m\u00eame. Cette vari\u00e9t\u00e9 lui a permis de garder une motivation suffisante pour surmonter l&rsquo;immense d\u00e9ception et tout arracher ensuite.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Je vois trop souvent des jeunes arr\u00eater compl\u00e8tement la grimper vers 20 ou 22 ans apr\u00e8s une carri\u00e8re de comp\u00e9titeur qui ne d\u00e9colle pas.<\/strong> La faute souvent \u00e0 un \u00e9ventail de pratique trop \u00e9troit, exclusivement ax\u00e9 sur la comp\u00e9tition. Malheureusement, ils ne connaissant ou ne savent pas appr\u00e9cier les autres mani\u00e8res de pratiquer. Et pourtant l&rsquo;escalade, c&rsquo;est bien plus que la comp\u00e9tition.<br \/><strong>Au-del\u00e0 de l\u2019accomplissement personnel et d&rsquo;une pratique ax\u00e9e sur le pur loisir, nous avons la chance de pratiquer un sport dans lequel haut niveau et comp\u00e9tition ne sont pas absolument li\u00e9s. Faisons en sorte de perp\u00e9tuer cette richesse.<\/strong> Surtout que c&rsquo;est plus efficace.
